The enclosed remission was handed to me this morning by the marshal to present to the court. Upon presenting it and examining the record, it was discovered that no "bail bond" had been executed in the case but that Coleby had deposited the money with the clerk ($1000) in lien of the bail bond.

The remission therefore misdescribes the case. It should have been for "the return of the deposit as bail or surety for the appearance of Tho Jones except fees and costs.
