To his Excellency Thos. E. Bramblette Governor of the Commonwealth of Ky

Your Petitioner M. R, Tarter would respectfully represent that at July Term 1865 ^of the Pulaski Circuit Court^ he was fined $30 for an assault — He states that he did not Know that there has to be any court in July and the case was tried in his absence. The only Testimony for the Commonwealth was Dickerson Thompson the prosecutor — He states that had he Known the trial would be had in July he would have been able to have shown himself not guilty — He says he did not assault or molest the Prosecutor any way and he was fined for an offense of which he was innocent — He prays that sd fine be remitted —
