To his Excellency the Governor of Kentucky. whereas J. M. Wilson & Arthur Gooden were surity in a Bail Bond for the appearance of Brooks Bryant in the Pulaski Circut Court at its July Term 1865 ^on a charge of larceny^ in the Sum of $200= which Bond was forfeited at said July Term and Judgment rendered on said forfeture at Sept Term 1865. now we the undersigned petitioners would respectfully ask you to remit said fine or Judgment. Said Wilson & Gooden are men in verry moderate circumstances and Wilson is a very industrious man, a good citizen and has a large family to support by his labor, we ask you if you can in your Judgment under the circcumstances remit said Judgment or fine. said favor would be thankfully received by us
