At the last April Term of the Todd Cir court Mr Albert Adams was indited for killing a mule the property one of his neighbours at the October term he was found guilty and a fine assessed against him for One hundred Dollars Mr Adams is a good citizen well thought of in his neighbourhood, the mule had been in the habit of jumping in his wheat field and was unable to keep him out Mr Adams is Young man just married poor and unable to pay the fine in his behalf, we petition your Excellency to remit the fine believing his case meritorious
