Against } Indictment #1 Selling liquor to a slave
Christ: Sixty Defendant

Be it remembered that at a Circuit Court held for said Circuit on the 18^th day of December 1860 the Grand Jury empanneled, returned into Court the following indictment:

"A True Bill John G Holloway Foreman," >

"The Grand Jury of Henderson County in the name and by the authority of the Commonwealth of Kentucky accuse Christ Sixty of the offense of Selling or giving whiskey to a slave named Primus the property of D R Burbank without the written order of the owner of said slave or the person entitled to thise legal control of the service of the service of ~~the~~ said slave, committed as follows towit: The said Christ Sixty on the 25^th day of September 1860 in the County aforesaid did sell or give whiskey to a slave named Primus the property of D R Burbank without the written order of the owner of said slave or the person entitled to the legal control of the Service of said slave, he the said Sixty not being the owner of said slave, or entitled to the care, custody, or control of said slave, against the peace and dignity of the Commonwealath of Kentucky

On which indictment a bench warrant was ordered and issued and returned by G A Sugg Sheriff of Henderson County "executed and bond given with Danl Hollinger", which bond is as follows

"I acknowledge myself bound to the Commonwealth of Kentucky
in the sum of Sixty Dollars as bail for the appearance of Christ Sixty in the Henderson Circuit Court on the Second Day of its next June term & that he dose not depart without leave of the Court this 21 day of Dec^r 1860

Afterwards at a Circuit Court held for said Circuit on the 11^th day of June 1861

"The Defendant appeared by his counsel and entered his Demurrer herein & the questions of law arising thereon being heard It is the opinion of the Court that it is insufficient & is therefore overruled, to which opinion of the Court the Defendant excepts,"

Afterwards at a Circuit Court held for said Circuit on the 10^th day of December 1862 the following order was entered:
"The Defendant failing to appear in discharge of his bond the same is taken as forfeited agst him, and Summons ordered thereon returnable to the 2^d day of next Term of this Court"

On which forfeiture a Summons was issued and returned by the Sheriff of Henderson County. "Executed by delivering to D Hollinger a true copy Apr 6 1863" H C Kerr D S for D N Walden S H C"

Afterwards at a Circuit Court held for said Circuit on the 10^th day of June 1863 the following Judgment was rendered agaisnt D. Hollinger:

"Commonwealth of Kentucky Plaintiff
against } On a forfeited bail bond
Daniel Hollinger Defendant

The Defendant having been duly Summoned and failing to appear and answer it is adjudged by the Court that the plaintiff recover of the Defendant the Sum of Sixty Dollars, the amount claimed by the plaintiff on account of the forfeiture aforesaid with interest thereon at Six per cent per annum from this 10^th day of June 1863 until paid and her costs herein expended."

Afterwards At a Circuit Court held for said Circuit on the 13^th day of December 1864, the following order was entered:
"The Commonth of Ky Plff against C. Sixty Deft. Indict ^#1 selling liquor to a ^slave^
Same Plff against Same Deft. " #2 " " " "

On motion of the Commonths attorney it is ordered that these cases be dismissed."

I Adam Rankin clerk of the Circuit Court of Henderson County in the State of Kentucky do certify that the preceding three pages contain a true and complete transcript of the record and proceedings of the cases therein mentioned — In Testimony of which I hereunto subscribe my name this 28^th December 1865
