Dear Sir:

We have learned that one or more of our Bank Robbers are in Missouri and Cashier Crawford is about starting there in pursuit of them — We therefore enclose his affidavit requesting that its authenticity may be certified by you, and the robber demanded of the Executive Authority of that State, and that Mr Crawford may be appointed agent to receive them —. Please return the papers to me at this place as soon as Convenient as the emergency of the case requires dispatch.
