To all whom these Presents shall come, Greeting:

Know Ye, That H. Sine having been duly elected JUSTICE OF THE PEACE for Campbell County, in District No. 2 (Newport) I hereby invest him with full power and authority to execute and discharge the duties of the said office according to law: And to have and to hold the same, with all the rights and emoluments thereunto legally appertaining, for and during the term prescribed by law.

In Testimony Whereof, I have caused these letters to be made patent, and the Seal of the Commonwealth to be hereunto affixed. Done at Frankfort, the 3^d day of June, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and 63 and in the 72^d year of the Commonwealth.

Dear Sir,

As I have not qualified under this commission. I most respectfully beg leave to return it — and ask you to appoint another to fill the vacancy until the next regular election.

I do solemnly swear, (or affirm, as the case may be,) that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of this State, and be faithful and true to the Commonwealth of Kentucky, so long as I continue a citizen thereof, and that I will faithfully execute, to the best of my abilities, the office of Justice of the Peace for [ ] County, in District No. [ ], according to law; and I do further solemnly swear, (or affirm,) that since the adoption of the present Constitution, I being a citizen of this State, have not fought a duel, with deadly weapons within the State nor out of it, with a citizen of this State; nor have I sent or accepted a challenge to fight a duel with deadly weapons, with a citizen of this State; nor have I acted as second in carrying a challenge, or aided or assisted any person thus offending — so help me God.
