The office of Police Judge, of the town of Somerset, having been vacated by the resignation of the late incumbent, [ ] It is therefore ordered that James, M. Sandifer be appointed and recommended to his Excellency Thos. E. Bramlette, Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, as a fit and proper person to be by him commissioned, to fill the vacancy occasioned as aforesaid, until the first Monday in August, 1865, the regular time for holding the election for Police Judge of cities and incorporated.
