Gov. Bramlette:

The office of Magistrate in District No. 2. Trigg County, has become vacant by the death of Lemuel Byrom Esqr, and it is very important that the vacancy shall be immediately filled by the appointment of a suitable and competent person; I would recommend Mr. H. W. Smith of said District, who is every way worthy and ^well^ qualified for the position, and I believe his appointment will give general satisfaction to the people.
