Although I am always happy to write You, I am particularly so now, in introducing to Your especial acquaintance and confidence my friend M^r. WilliamT. Boulden — of Bourbon Co. whom you will find and may receive as, a perfect Gentleman in every sense of the term. has now and continues an uncompromising Union Man and Supporter of our Government.

I wish you to do me the especial favor to go with Mr. B. and introduce him, as our Mutual friend — to His Excellency — Gov Bramlette and procure for him then and there the appointment of Notary Public for the County of Bourbon. Which appointment would be exceedingly gratifying to the citizens of that County and reflect credit upon all concerned in history this token of Confidence.
