I. J. W. Westcott being first duly sworn made oath that I will well and faithfully to the best of my knowledge and ability discharge and execute all the duties of Commissioner of Deeds for the State of Kentucky in the State of Tennessee an offer to which I am appointed by His Excellency the Governor of Kentucky by commission under the Great seal of the state of Kentucky dated October 5^th AD 1865 said commission generated under act of the General Assembly of said Common wealth of Kentucky, chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes approved January 7^th 1852
