I had the honor to receive from his Excellency the Governor of Kentucky (at the time) a commission appointing me a Commissioner for the State of Kentucky residing in the State of California to take the acknowledgement and proof of Deeds &c &c Having removed to this city and being desirous to continue the same profession here I most respectfully request that a commission may issue for this State the fees for which will be remitted upon its receipt with the oath required by law.
