To His Excellency Gov. Bramlette
Sir:

I would respectfully notify your Excellency, that the office of Justice of the Peace in the Verona Precinct N^o 7. is vacated by the removal of B. W. Norman; I would respectfully recommend & suggest the appointment of Samuel R. M^cPherson in his stead, he being a man of undoubted loyalty —

The office of Justice in the Hamilton, Precinct N^o 9. in the aforesaid county of Boone is also vacated by the removal of T. J. M^cHatton, and I would suggest T D. Finnell in his stead.

Those appointments of Magistrates for Boone County I think would give general satisfaction As the Justices Courts are held in December I would recommend the immediate appointment of the above named gentlemen Please forward Commissions to me at Burlington —
