SATURDAY, JANUARY 30, 1864.

Bill No. 142.

Mr. BUSH, from the joint committee appointed to visit the Institution for the Education of Idiots and Feeble-minded Children, reported the following bill, which was placed in the orders of the day, viz:

AN ACT to amend an act, entitled, "An act to establish an Institution for the Education of Idiots and Feeble-minded Children."

§1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky,
<< 2 > That so much of the 7th section of the act to which this is an amendment, as
<< 3 > appropriates, for the support of each pupil, the sum of $125 per annum, be re-
<< 4 > pealed, and in lieu thereof, the sum of $150 for said purpose, as provided in
<< 5 > said act, be and the same is hereby appropriated for each pupil, payable as in
<< 6 > said act is provided.

§2. That for the purpose of paying off the debts of the institution, and fin-
<< 2 > ishing off the buildings, and furnishing the same with heating apparatus, and
<< 3 > providing furniture for same, and for building necessary inside fences, out-
<< 4 > houses, and cistern, the sum of fifteen thousand dollars is hereby appropriated,
<< 5 > to be paid out of the treasury, whenever the commissioners shall deem it neces-
<< 6 > sary, as is now provided by law.

§3. So much of the act of 11th February, 1860, to which this is an amend-
<< 2 > ment, or so much of any act heretofore enacted, as is inconsistent herewith, is
<< 3 > repealed.

§4. This act to take effect from its passage.
