On Yestedrday we received a letter Brig Gen^l J T Boyle directing us to place to your credit a Package of Money deposited with us by Capt John L Williams late Provost Marshall at this place. We find on opening the Package that it Contained One Hundred & ninety three Dollars in good money & Sixteen dollars in Broken Bank & Counterfeit Paper

This Money was taken from the late James Keller after his death & We are informed by Officers of this Post that there was near four Hundred Dollars deliverd over to Capt Williams

We inclose You one Certificate #160 for One Hundred & Ninety three Dolls.
