We the undersigned being a majority of the Justices of the peace of Allen County, summoned to the court house in said county for the purpose of filling the vacancy occasioned by the resignation of N. K. Pope Presiding Judge of the Allen County Court, certify that we have appointed William Mansfield to fill the unexpired term of said N. K. Pope as Presiding Judge of said Allen County Court

Witness our hands as Justices of the Peace aforesaid. this 4^th day of March 1862
