To his excellency Gov Magoffin

At a county Court called and held for Barren County on Monday the 24^th day of Febry 1862 the following order was made:

"Ordered that James M Payne be recommended to the Governor as Suitable person to fill the office of Magistrate for the Glasgow District in place of R R H Gillock who has vacated his office by accepting an office under the so called Confederate Government"

And at a court begun and held for Barren County on Monday March 17^th 1862 the following orders were made:

"Ordered that John Lock be recommended to the Governor as a suitable person to receive the appointment of magistrate in Sartain precinct in place of Joshua N Garmon resigned"

"Ordered that Thos. S. Walton be recommended to the Governor as a suitable person to receive the appointment of maigstrate in the Goosehorn District in place of R N Field, he having accepted office under the provisional Government and has left the county"

Ordered that Joseph P Taylor be recommended to the Governor as a suitable person to receive the appointment of magistrate in Tracy precinct
in place of J R Bean, he having accepted office under the provisional Government;

"Ordered that Andrew Marshall be recommended to the Governor as a suitable person for the office of magistrate in the Sanders precinct in place of B. G. Smith, he having accepted office under the provisional Govermnent"
