Dear Sir enclosed I send you Wm J. Wadlingtons statement on oath as to the difficulty between his father Thos ,B, Wadlington & M. A. Cartwright. And also the affidavit of fifteen of his immidiate neighbors attesting to his good character for truth and verasity on oath. Those being the papers you told William to send you when he left Frankfort a fiew days ago so he informed me, I hope dear Govenor that those papers will be amply sufficient togather with those on file to induce your excellency to release my friend Tho^s ,B, Wadlington from the state prison. and restore him to the
bosom of his family and the society of his many friends —

I am the more anxious you should take speedy action in the matter on account of the disturbed state of the country, for you or~~our~~ I know that life is uncertain in these times — Hoping that you and family are enjoying peace and health and quiet I remain your friend as ever
