To his excellency,
the Honorable Beriah Magoffin,
Govenor of the State of Kentucky,

Your petitioner, Charles M. Cunningham states he was fined on the [ ] day of June 1860, before his honor Ja^s Harlan, Jr. J P. C. H. in the sum of fifty dollars with costs, for carrying a concealed, deadlyweapon a pistol — which said fine he has not paid.

Now, whereas your petitioner is not in the habit of carrying concealed deadly weapons, and whereas said pistol was at the time unloaded, and your petitioner otherwise keepingthepeace; he humbly prays your excellency to cause said fine to be remitted.
