At the last Octr Term of our Circuit Court The Commonwealth of Kentucky recover Judgment agst W W Grady for Ten dollars on and indictment for nuisance to the public highway the proof introduced on the trial was that the overseer of the road leading from Elkton to Fairview in this County cut a ditch in front of the Blacksmith and wagonn makers shop belonging to the sd Grady and that the same was almost entirely cut onso through Gradys land a very small portion thereof being in the public road, and was a very great inconvenience to Grady and persons that employed him to do their work and that he filled up the ditch and turned the water into the road injuring it but very little if any
he is a poor man and he in conjunction with the undersigned would be pleased if your Excellency would release him from the payment of said fine.
