To his Excellency the Governor of Kentucky.

We the subscribers state that we were of the jury at the last Term of the Bourbon Co Circuit Court, who tried Hugh Kennedy on the charge of Arson in committed by burning the barn of Oscar H Burbridge. On said trial we found him guilty of said charge and ~~appli~~ fixed his punishment at two years Confinement in the penitentiary.

The evidence in the case was very conflicting, and contradictory ~~in the case~~. and we in view of all the facts of case petition Your Excellency to pardon said Kennedy.
