Be it remembered that th at a county court Began & held for said county at the court house in the Town of Tompkinsville on the 26^th day of Dec^r 1859 C E Barry Judge presiding &c the following proceedings were had to wit

On motion of Milton Berry and E W Huggins -- It is ordered by the court that a licence be granted to them to Keep a tavern in the town of Tompkinsville for twelve months from this date -- It was also proven in open Court that it was necessary to have a tavern Kept in said town of Tompkinsville & that said Berry and Huggins was prepared to Keep a tavern as the law required who came into open court and executed the covenant required of them by law together with John Black, W D Martin and John H M^cMillon as their securtiy Conditioned as the law directs
