Dear Sir,

I wrote you last week that the Governor, remittition for W^m H. Ingram's fine of $50 — found against him at our last July Term had not been rec^d You will reccollect that you told me, when I saw you in Frankfort this fall, that the fine had been remitted, & the paper sent, The pardon for the imprisonment under judg^t of a Justice of the Peace, was rec^d but not until after he had served out the full term,

He is now trying to do better, & if he
has this fine, inflicted at the July Term to pay, it will have to be paid by his wife, who has owed two hundred dollars, all that is left of a very handsome estate,

If the Governor has not remitted this fine, please urge him to do so, as a personal favor to me, & if he has done so, please send it to me immediately, Your early reply & immediate attention will greatly oblige
