Gov^r. of Kentucky —

Your petitioner Frederick Keck would most respectfully state That he was fined in the city Court of Louisville 3 or 4 months since for assault & Battery on three Indictments. One of the sum of One Hundred dolls one the sum of Fifty dolls & the third One cent, he was absent at the calling & trial of the first & 2^nd case but was present when the third case was tried, all occured at ~~the~~ about the same time the whole of the costs /without including the two attorneys proportion of the fine which amounts to 30 p^r c^t for the city & County attorneys ^each^ tdo the clerk &c amt
$47.16^cts Executions are now in the hands of the city marshall & I will be imprisoned if I cannot get some friend to pay the same, I am [ ] years old of German Extraction tho: by birth a Kentuckian my father died here whilst I was quite young I know not why, I should have been [...] then heavily fined when others guilty of like conduct & much worse, are permitted to go untouched & unnoticed I have offered to pledge the little property remaining to me, to any person to pay these fines but the times are such that now will advance for me I have no alternative but to appeal to your clemency, in my behalf, to remit my
fines which will be extended, I hope, on this occasion, I ssure y^r Excellency ~~forthefuture~~ that I will endeavor to deserve this favor by deporting myself peaceably for the future & your petitioner will ever pray &c with quiet respect I am Sir your ob^t serv^t
