To His Excilency Beriah Magoffin governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky

The Undersigned would most Respetifuly Represent to youre Excilency that ~~A J Topp has been fined in the Powell~~ there has been A Judgement Renderd in the Powell Circuit Court in favor of the Commonwealth against A J Tapp for the sum of five dollars for a Breach of the Peace we would Represent to youre Excilency that Mr Tapp is a verry Poore man and is a quiet and Peacible Citizen, and ^that he^ was drawn into the fight on account of a yonger Brother of his.. and we would most Respectfly aske youre Excilency to Remit the fine against the said Tapp as it will Beare verry Hard on him to pay it in his Present condition
