At the last term of the Montgomery Circuit Court Michael Oconnel was fined $60 for Keeping a tipling house, The selling was done, in his absence by a clerk, and without his knowledge as far as the jury shewed any thing, Oconnel keeps a very fair and gentell grocery here is an industrious & [enegetic] man — began the world poor and is unable to pay the fine without serious injury I am satisfied he will not repeat the offense or allow it to be done I hope the governer will remit the fine. and have it immediately transmitted to the sheriff of this County as the replevy is now about out,
