Your petitioner Martin Reece, states that he was fined $50 — for carrying concealed weapons at the June term of the Owsly circuit court 1860 that he carried said weapons for no wicked perpose but merely for his own protection, and defence, but in this he faild. to make the proof to show this fact He further states that at the June term of said court 1861 he was fined $30 — for tippling, and in this he was wholly innocent, as the liquor was only for the accomodation of others, and not for his own personal gain, to this ^end^ he prays that your Excellency remit so much of s^d fine as you can do, and in duty bound will ever pray
