The commonwealths attorney Judge Rice L, W, Andrews written to you at our Spring court that they would Like you would Remitt the fine Lansdown Osington and others of this place being fined for gambeling and have him Releast. Mr Simmons came to see me yesterday and Requested me to Enquire in to this matter and try to gitt him Releast he is Enclined to think you never Received the former Letter our Post master is a Blue Belleyed northern man we dont gitt but few papers hear that a Reflecting man not under Excitement would Read thay -- ~~dezinen~~ disigning members have miss Lead the common class by saying union demacratick party the thay
are changing fast in favor of the South Judge J. W. Moore will canvass this county next weak for Col Williams woddzworths opposition for Crongress I think Williams will gett a majority in this county Col J. R. Butts made up a company hear yesterday as a State gard all Suthern men I could tell you mutch of the coruptness of a part of the old whigg party hear the I am sattisfied you see it moore playing then I the honest whiggs say that none but our partty can Keep this government to gether on the account of our postmasters dishonestey I Enclose this to the Govern to hand you I would Lick to hear from you before the 20^th of this month yours &c
