Be it remembered that James G Gorsuch. L B Bates, Abm P Gorsuch, H F Simrall, John Joyes, & Jeff Brown, this day personally appeared before me, Geo W Johnston, Judge of the City Court of Louisville, and severally acknowledged themselves indebted to the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the sum of [ ] dollars, that is to say, the said James Gorsuch in the sum of Eight Hundred Dollars, and the said [ ] in the sum of Eight Hundred dollars, to be made and levied of their respective lands and tenements, goods and chattles, and to the use of the said Commonwealth rendered; but to be void on the said Jas Gorsuch personally appearing in the Circuit Court for the County aforesaid, on the first day of the next term thereof, and surrender himself into custody to answer to the Commonwealth for a felony. with the said Jas G Gorsuch stands charged before me.

At a Court continued and for the Jefferson Circuit Court, at the Courthouse in the City of Louisville on the 24" day of October 18621

The Defendant being Solemnly
called to appear in discharge of the recogniance entered into by him in the City Court of Louisville on the 7^th of September 1861 came not but made default It is therefore Considered by the Court, that the clerk of this Court issue a writ of Scire facias against the Said James Gorsuch together with James. G. Gorsuch., L. B. Bates, Abm, P, Gorsuch. H, F, Simrall. Jno Joyes and Jeff Brown his bail returnable &c To Shew cause if any they have or can why the Commonwealth shall not have Judgment and execution thereon against them for Sixteen hundred dollars the Said James Gorsuch in Eight hundred dollars, and the Said James G Gorsuch, L. B. Bates, Abm, P, Gorsuch H, F, Simrall. Jno Joyes & Jeff Brown in a like Sum according to the form and effect of said recognizance and for a breach of the Conditions thereof, and on motion of plantiff a Capias is awarded her against the Said James Gorsuch returnable &c, which Capias shall be endorsed bail in Eight hundred dollars with good security in a like Sum Conditioned &c All further proceedings are conditioned untill the next term of this Court
