To the Governor of Kentucky

The undersigned state that Reuben Hudson became the surety of ^with^ one David C Hull on a Bond conditioned for the apperance of ~~David~~William Hull, to answer an indictment for Felony vs him (Hull) in the Mason Circuit Court -- The Bond was forfeited, and failing to make his appearance Hull is now a convict in the Penitentiary of this state. Reuben Hudson the security is a citizen of Henry County Ky and is an excellent young citizen has but little property and to pay the amt of the Bond would result in the sale & sacrifice of his property -- an execution is now in the hands of the= Sheriff of Henry County for the amt viz $300 in favor of the Comwt^h of Ky with interest from 24^th July 1861 & returnable 1^st March 1862 said execution is (Fifty No 2) we hope the Judgment may be remitted -- yours
