The Grand Jury of Montomery County in the name and by the authority of the Commonwealth of Ky. accuse M. C. OConnell of the offense of Keeping a Tippling House. Committed as follows To Wit. The said M. C. OConnell on the 1^st day of March 1859 in the county & circuit aforesaid and on divers days since Kept a Tippling House against the peace & dignity of the Commonwealth of Ky.

The above was endorsed a true bill by W^m Bridges Foreman of the Grand Jury, and filed in open Court 21^st February 1860 at the Feby. Court 1861. the Jury found the Deft. guilty and he was fined $60. & costs

The proof showing only one case of selling. The Gov. of Ky. respited the fine in this case for one year, which respite is about to expire. OConnell has paid all the fees and costs and asks for the amount of the fine to be
remitted by his Excellency the Governor. We think the same should be done and respectfully now here request it to be done.

I do not ^know^ what the evidence was & therefore cant say, but M^r O'connell is a clever man & I would be pleased that the fine should be remitted
