Dear Govenor

I intended to see you again on yesterday morning in relation to the fines against James G. Everett, but had no time before the arrival of the cars. The executions are now out against him, and, unless relieved, his property will be sacrificed in spite of all he can do to prevent it. It will be just as much as he can do to pay off the costs and attorneys percentage —

There are two fines against him — one for $60 and costs and the other for $200 and costs — both in the Kenton Circuit Court at Independence — If you can remit them, you will confer a great favor upon an industrious citizen and probably save his family from ruin, or at least from many hardships.
