Dear Sir,

The Judge of our County Court, Petitioned your Excellency not long since, to affer a reward for the apprehension of James Moore, who Murdered, Columbus Perkins last March; Will you be kind enough to inform me, whether or not you have taken any action in the case. I think it quite necessary to affer one in order to excite the vigilence of the people; & afficers — He has fled this State, & is now in the State of Tennessee, or Supposed to be there — It was a very cruel & unprovoked case of murder —
