Dear Sir,

Sometime since I wrote requesting the remission of a fine against William Nelson of this County, for $200, imposed by the Mason circuit court, for suffering gaming on his premises, The fine was confessed; but M^r Nelson is a worthy good citizen, and not disposed himself to violate law, and only suffered himself in this instance to become the victim of his own good nature, being too lenient with those who would play cards in his rooms. I hope you will remit the fine,
