I send a petition to you to presesnt to the governor for the remission of a fine for carrying concealed a pistol, by Edward Garrett, of this county, I believe the case is one that the Executive ought to relieve, I am satisfied his statements are true. You will please present the petition to The Governor and ask him to give it a favorable consideration, and if he thinks ^it^ consistant with his duty to remit the fine
