My dear Governor,

Our mutual friend, Geo E. Roe, Esq, became the surety of ~~[...]~~Thomas Cassidy, on a recognizance bond, for his appearance at the ~~present~~ ^last^ term of the Greenup Circuit Court; and Cassidy having made default, being absent from the state, judgment was rendered against M^r Roe for $100 at the present term. It will be a hardship upon M^r Roe to pay the amount of the judgment, and as Cassidy may yet appear and answer the ~~judgment~~charge against him, I ask respectfully that the judgment against M^r Roe may be remitted,
