To His Excellency B MaGoffin Governor of Ky.

Your Petitioners Respectfully Represent that Some time ago that Elbert Fitsworth was arrested and confined in the jail of Graves Co, That he was poor that his mother an aged widow Jemima Fitsworth became his Bail in the sum of Two Hundred Dollars, that at the Augst Term 1861 of Said Court, the Said Bond was taken for forfeited Since which time the Said Elbert has departed this livfe thereby rendering ^it^ impossible for Mr^s Fitsworth to Surrender him to the Sourt for trial. Therefore as it would be a Great Hardship for Mrs F to be compelled to pay said Bond on which Judgt ^for Two Hundred Dollars^ has been rendered by the Graves Circuit Court We respectfully ask that your Excellency release her from the same —
