vs } Indictment for keeping a Tippling House.
William Leeg Defendent

The defendant appeared in court in proper person and for plea says that he is Guilty of the offence charged in the Indictment but here enters his solemn promise not to be guily of the like offence again It is therefore adjudged by the court that the Plantiff recover of this defendant the sum of Sixty Dollars the fine fixed by law together with the costs of this prosectuion but in view of the circumstances and of the fact of the defendants appearance in court and acknowledgment of the offence charged against him and his contrition and repentance therefor, are sufficient grounds to induce the court to favorably recommend him to the Executive of the State for a remission of the fine against him herein.
