Your Petitioner Thos C,, Dabney Circuit Judge of the Second Judicial District of Kentucky states that On the 2^nd day of March 1858 — One James Williams Killed in the Town of Princeton Caldwell County Kentucky One Daniel B,, Calvert by shooting said Dan B,, Calvert several times with a Colt Revolving Pistol and the circumstances attending the killing of Calvert by said Williams show an agrivated case of Homicide,, Williams was indicted by the Grand Jury of Caldwell County for the murder of Daniel B,, Calvert and at the September Term 1859 of the Caldwell Circuit Court forfeited his Recognisance for the sum of ($4000) and left the state of Kentucky—
and the indictment is now pending against said James Williams in the Caldwell Circuit Court — Wherefore your petitioner prays Your excellency as Governor of said Commonwealth to Offer a suitable reward for the arrest and delivery of James Williams to the Civil authorities of Caldwell County so that he may be put upon hisTtrial and the criminal laws may be enforced against him.
