Dear Sir

Last night two prisoners escaped from the jail of this county, One named James Wilson who was confined under an Indictment for Murder. said Wilson is about 26 years of age. Six feet high — raw boned, weigh about 180 pounds — very dark h or black hair — light beard & mustache rather pale from long confinement — grey eyes — had on black clothes, soft black wool hat.

The other named A T Johnson was under confinement by order of examining court. on four charges of passing counterfiet money — said Johnson is about 35 or 40 years of age 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high. weigh about 175 pounds dark hair. — had on a half worn brown winter coat, dark pantaloons, & ^soft^ black wool hat.
