1861 Executive Journal

The Governor commissioned James Culton, Presiding Judge of Harlan County Court in place of John Lewis deceased.

He respited for twelve months a Judgment of the Bourbon Circuit Court of $220. against D. C. Farrow for permitting gaming in his house.

He commissioned Marcus L Hodge Police Judge of the town of Louisa.

He appointed (until the end of the next session of the General Assembly) the following persons Notaries Public in the counties named. to wit:

Josiah Harris Jr.	for M^cCracken county
Geo. F. Beatty	" Henderson "
W^m H. Nall	" Ohio "

The Governor respited for twelve months the following judgments to wit:

Owsley County Ct vs. John Boline	$50.	Concealed weapons
Fleming J. P. " " Mary Tincher	$30.	breach of the peace
Harrodsburg Po Ct " Silas Bishop	$60.	Selling liquor to minors

He commissioned R. T. Glass of Hendersen Captain in the Ordinance Department, with the Rank of Captain

He remitted the following Judgments, to wit:

Harrodsburg Po Ct. vs. Jo^s R. Wheatley	$10.	breach of the peace
Knox Cir. " " Jno Bonfine	$50.	Selling liquor to a slave
M^cCracken " " " W^m Mullins	$62.35 --	disturbing Pub worship
" " " " Do	$37.71 --	breach of the peace
Pendleton " " " Polly A. Southgate	$40.	Permitting slave to hire his time
Whitley " " " Tho^s Hughes	$60	Tipling
Fayette J. P. " " Geo. W Donley	$15.	breach of the peace

He approved the following accounts to the City of Frankfort for Water furnished the following offices, to wit:
