I Capt. John B. Wilgus is hereby appointed Provost Marshall for the County of Fayette. His Head Quarters to be at Lexington Ky. He is empowered to enroll a Citizen Guard to assist in Executing the duties pertaining to said office provided they serve without compensation.

II The County to subsist said Guard whilst on duty, and it is distinctly understood that no compensation is allowed to said Provost Marshal for the performance of his duties, unless provided for by the County or State authorities
