Your respondent for answer to the rules illegally and unjustly issued against him as he really believes.) ordered against him by whom he is not informed by the Copies of the Same Served on him (within perhaps two hours of each other) Says that he has not in his hands any report or paper belonging to the Judge of said Court, nor has he in his possession any report of Said Roe & Davidson of the indebtedness of ~~Greenup~~ ^this^ County that ever was recieved by the County Court of said County as an official or office paper or that was Ever ordered to be filed in Said Court or that Ever was So filed. He has a report of the indebtedness of Said County made by them for the Sole use of this respondent So ordered by him when Judge of said court for the purpose of publishing Said indebtedness of said County in hand bill form for Ccrculation among the tax payers of this County Up to or near the time respondent went out of Office as he had repeatedly promised the people of the County ^he would do^ and which (if not prevented) he intends to do — Your respondent would farther State that the former Clerk of Said Court made many Errors in Calculations of interest or at least the orders on the order book So shew it as also the report Shews it and respondent has been and is Examining Said report Carefully in order that he may have ^~~a correct~~ the indebtedness correct^ ^that he may^ Exhibit the Same to the Court of Claims for their inspection before publishing the Same and if Said Court of Claims wishes the Said report. It is and has been [...]Respondents intention after pointing out to them the Errors of the former orders made at
the last Court to deliver the Same to them if they So desire and ^another^ another reason it was not filed in the Court ere this was because It was never recieved by the Court officially no order was Ever made by me as Judge of Said Court recieving the report as no report of any Commissioner for any purpose to and a portion of the archives of said ^court^ until recieved by the Court and an order upon the order Book of Said Court filing the Same Any Gentleman by Calling at my Office between this and the Court of Claims can See the report aforesaid having fully responded to the Rules. Your respondent asks that they may be discharged
