GOVERNOR OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY,
TO ALL WHO SHALL SEE THESE PRESENTS, GREETING:

WHEREAS, judgment has been rendered by the Kenton Circuit Court for $60 against John Dempsey, for keeping a tipling house AND WHEREAS, It appears from satisfactory evidence that the case of said John Dempsey presents strong considerations for the interposition and indulgence of the Executive:

Now, Know Ye, That in consideration of the premises, and by virtue of the power vested in me by the Constitution, I have thought proper to REMIT, and do, by these presents, remit said judgment except Twenty Dollars and fees & costs and do hereby forever acquit, release, and discharge the said John Dempsey from the same, enjoining all officers to respect this REMISSION, and govern themselves accordingly.

In Testimony Whereof, I have caused these letters to be made patent, and the Seal of the Commonwealth to be hereunto affixed. Done at FRANKFORT, the 18^th day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and 63, and in the 71^st year of the Commonwealth.
