There are two vacancies on the Bench of the Scott County Court, one in the Oxford District ^No 7^ caused by the Death of Joseph E. Gregg, and one in the White Sulpher District ^No. 2^ caused by the Esqr Josephus Dehoney having I joined the Rebel Army and left the State See Acts of the Legislature passed in Dec 1861 page — 52. We would respectfully recommend the appointment by your Excellency of Joel Ammerman in the Oxford District, and of the appointment of Bennet Branham in the White Sulpher District, both of whom are good and Loyal men. and that the appointments be made this week, and Commissions forward by Friday next, in order that the Appointees may be notified before Monday next Nov 3^d to assist in allowing the County claims &C &C
