I enclose to you through request a recommendation for the appointment of a Justice in your District. Jack Johnson says he will serve the people to the best of his ability & desires the appointment. Judge Alexander is not at home & consequently we had no Court on last Monday.

If it suits your approbation have Gov Robertson to make the appointment & procure the Commission & forward to Johnson,

We are all much pleased with the Course the Legislature has taken the present Session,
