My Commission as Notary Public for this county has expired. I wish it renewed. Be pleased therefore to lay this letter before his Excellency Governor Robinson, with my request, and forward it to me by return mail.

I believe the law requires me to pay a fee for the seal, a recent legislative act; but I have not been able to find it; but my recollection is it is $1.; I therefore enclose that amount. If it be more, let me know & I will promptly furnish it.
