To the Hon Governor of Ky

Sir Some time since I with the County Judge Certified to the election of James Drury Esqr as Justice of the peace in District No 6 and at the same time we Certified that he was a strong Simpethiser of the rebelion in that I learn that we ware Some what Mistaken he is not so violant as we had been informed and the Deputy Sheriff in that part of the County thinks he Should have his Commission and that a large majority of the Union men in that part of the County or his district wish him to have it for they have no better Man that will hold the office and that it will do the Union Cause Good for they are almost Compelled to have a Justice there as there is a Small village in the neighborhood We tharefore Request you as Governor to Send on his Commission and if necessary we will Git the County Judge and high Sheriff to Certify the Same and also the Union men in his District to petition for his Commission.
