I take the liberty of addressing a few lines to you to See if you can do any thing for me my Case is as folllows after we the 13th Ky~~Cavalry~~Infantry came here from the front to be mustered out and after we turned over our guns and equipments another man and I had a difficulty — no one Killed or Seriously wounded but a little hurt he is well and gone home. I was arested and placed in the prison here. I had a Court Marthial and have not received any Sentence yet
as I have Served my Country three years and four months and never was punished before I Should like you to do all you can for me in this matter hoping you will do all you can for me
