I received a Communication from the Adjt Genls office Calling for an official Copy of the ^acceptance of the^ resignations of Major Drye, Capts Fishback & Smith. I send herewith those for Drye & Smith. And as only one Copy was furnished this office in refference to Fishbacks He himself took it with him to enable him to draw pay. But his resignation was accepted to take date from June 9" 1864.

I will again Call your attention to the recommendation of Capt Rowland for major vice Drye resigned and of Lt Roberts to be made Capt Co "K" vice Rowland promoted. and Lt T, N, Bruner to be made 1^st Lt vice Roberts promoted Also Lt J. D. Batie to be made Capt Co "L" vice Fishback resigned. & orderly Sergt G. J. Vaught to be made 2^nd Lt Co 'L" vice Batie promoted. Also Lt Pankey to be made Capt of Co "I" vice Smith ~~promoted~~resigned & Thos Graves to be made 2^nd Lt vice J Pankey promoted

Enclosed herein please find recommenda^tions^ for Maj Helveti to be made Lt Col, and Capt Keen to be Major vice Helveti promoted.

I will also recommend to you for promotion 1^st Lt John. C. McLain to be Capt Co "I" vice Keen promoted. & ~~order~~ 2^nd Lt A. C. Smith to be 1^st Lt vice M^cLain promoted & orderly Serg^tSandusky Bruton to be 2^nd Lt vice Smith promoted.
